Sustainability and responsible manufacturing are at the core of our manufacturing ethos and underpin all our efforts – from the use of raw materials and green manufacturing to packaging and delivery of products.
As an environmentally-conscious manufacturer, Creative Yarns strongly believes in reducing its carbon footprint. Our approach is based on designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems.
Our yarns are created from recycled polyester which helps reduce the dependency on petroleum-based raw products. For judicious use of raw materials, we use bamboo and polylactic acid, both renewable resources, to manufacture floor covering yarns.
We have adopted economical practices for the use of water at our plants. Wastewater is treated and reused to cut down the consumption of freshwater.
Sustainable practices also guide the way we package our products. We strictly avoid the use of plastic packaging and instead use wooden pallets for our finished products. We use industry-grade ISPM-15 wooden pallets for export purposes.
To reduce wastage and reuse packaging material, we encourage our domestic customers to return wooden packaging materials to our factories. This has helped us reduce the use of virgin packaging material.
As part of the ‘Go Green’ initiative, we have increased the use of renewable energy over the years. In the future, solar power will completely power our plants and the company has chalked out a roadmap to achieve the objective.
As part of the green plan, Creative Yarns employees are encouraged to plant trees every year on World Environment Day. The plantation drive is organised on the plant premises as this allows for better monitoring of their growth and also fosters a greater sense of ownership among the employees. Guests visiting our plants are also encouraged to plant trees.
